Ingredients
- 12 Fuji apples
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (or more if desired)
- 1 tbsp raw honey
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 3/4 c filtered water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
All you need is an Instant Pot and 25 minutes and before you know it, you’ll be diving into a simple, yet delicious cinnamon applesauce!
Instructions
- Wash, prep and peel (if desired) all apples. Quarter and toss them into the Instant Pot’s steel bowl.
- Add butter, cinnamon, honey, lemon juice, sea salt and water into the steel bowl with the apples.
- Place the lid on the Instant Pot and secure it in its locked position (be sure the vent on the top of the lid is sealed).
- Press the manual button to ensure it’s on high pressure and decrease the time to 3.
- When the Instant Pot is done, press the “Keep Warm/Cancel” button and unplug the Instant Pot. Let sit for roughly 15 minutes.
- Carefully remove the lid and ladle apples into a high powered blender (if there’s a lot of liquid left in the steel bowl, only use half)
- Pulse until full combined and smooth.
- Enjoy!
