About The Fruit
Starkrimson is one pretty pear! It’s also refreshing with an uber-juicy bite and pleasant sweet and floral flavor. Sounds dreamy, right?!
Use the striking color of Starkrimson to dress up a salad or fruit platter. We also highly recommend pairing this light and bright pear with a salty Bleu cheese.
More About The Fruit
Whoa, what’s that dark red pear? That’s essentially how the story of Starkrimson’s discovery went. It was spotted growing on a branch of tree that usually produced green pears. Stark Brothers Nursery patented the variety in 1956, combining their name with its crimson color.
We love growing Starkrimson pears in Washington State. They soak up our long, summer days that stay a bit cooler than surrounding areas thanks to alpine mountains.
