About The Fruit
It doesn’t get much sweeter than cherries in the summertime, don’t you think?! Just like their name says, our dark-sweet cherries are dark red to mahogany in color with a flavor explosion in every bite. You’ll love the crunch when you bite into one and the incredible sweetness, acids, and juicy experience that follow.
Dark-sweet cherries can be used for just about everything. Whether you are grabbing straight from the bag to enjoy or adding into a delicious baked dessert, dark-sweet cherries taste great in salads, cooked dishes, and for juicing and freezing.
More About The Fruit
Stemilt might not be the originators of dark-sweet cherries (Turkey gets the credit for that), but our founding family has grown these drupes (or stone fruits) for more than a century! Our cherry season is longer than any other, starting in May in California, transitioning to Washington in June and not winding down until early September.
We grow many different dark-sweet cherry varieties, including the well-known Bing and some of our personal favorites, Coral, Skeena, Sweetheart, and Staccato®.
